Hi! I’m Donna thanks for scrolling by.

I’m an artist, illustrator and graphic novelist living in New Mexico. I have a master’s degree in art education. I teach drawing and painting at the secondary level. My art draws inspiration from the narrative tradition of African American storytelling. I greatly admires the visual storytelling abilities of Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson, Alma Thomas, Romare Bearden, and Jacob Lawrence. My goal is to contribute to the collective of stories that feature underrepresented and marginalized people.
